Explore the unique mountain landscape of Kaunertal Glacier on foot

Even as a pedestrian you can easily experience and enjoy the summit world over 3,000 meters.
The Kaunertal Glacier Road – the only year-round excursion road in Austria – takes visitors from the valley through a winter mountain landscape to 2,750 meters.

Arrived at the glacier center you have the opportunity to hover over the glacier landscape with the “Falginjochbahn” and “Karlesjochbahn” gondola lifts, to arrive at 3,108 meters and 3,113 meters, to stand at the Italian state border and enjoy the view of an untouched high mountain landscape.
