elooa OPENING CAMP - Let's kick off the winter season together!

This winter, we’re once again kicking off the new winter season together at the Kaunertal Glacier. What originally started as a backcountry opening, we’re now taking to the next level: a joint season opener for snowboarders, splitboarders, coaches, guides, partners, and friends. Over the past few years, this has grown into a strong community that we want to bring together at the start of the season—to ride together, share experiences, meet new people, and simply have a good time on the mountain. Because together, the start of winter is just that much more fun.

At the elooa OPENING CAMP, we offer professional workshop formats led by our experienced elooa coaches and guides. Whether it’s carving, freeriding, or splitboarding—you can choose the workshop that best suits your skill level and goals.

The Kaunertal Glacier provides the perfect setting: guaranteed snow, an impressive mountain backdrop, and a long-standing connection to the snowboarding community make the glacier the ideal spot for our joint season opener. Perfectly groomed runs, varied terrain, and—depending on conditions—the first powder runs of the season ensure a perfect weekend on the board.

In addition to riding together, safety is also a key focus. Especially at the start of the season, it’s important to brush up on your technique, develop new skills, and familiarize yourself with the essential basics of responsible backcountry riding.
